Race the Helix – treadmill challenge!
As part of our social mission, Front Line Genomics partners with the Greenwood Genetic Center to support families in need acquire genetic testing, regardless of their ability to pay. At each of our Festivals we host a special ‘Race the Helix’ Treadmill Challenge.
‘Race the Helix’ began locally by one special family, the Shenal’s, and their desire to thank the clinicians who helped their daughter, Ryleigh, when they were in need of answers and hope. Watch the video to see more about their story and the amazing work that the Green Wood Genetic Center do for families.
The Festivals host the Treadmill Challenge, whereby sponsoring teams (typically of 4) run for a total of 20 minutes between them and see how many miles they can clock up in the time, competing to achieve the furthest distance.
How many miles can we total across the 2 day Festival? And how much can we raise?
There are sponsorship packages available offering you company branding around the Festival in association with the challenge. Attendees are also welcome to race and simply donate what they can.
All participants will be invited to a special Race the Helix reception where the prizes will be awarded:
